Presenting... Seven Monsters
Set in a world where a curse has blotted out the sun, Seven Monsters is an RPG (made in RPG Maker VX Ace) where you gain no experience points.
Though you will gain new skills and equipment throughout your play, they will merely broaden your options, rather than simply making you stronger.
Bosses must be beaten by discovering and overcoming their strategies, rather than brute force.
Players take the role of Chal, a mystical sun knight from a faraway land called a Dawnbringer, who must guide Felst the Polar Knight, Senji the Wild Child, and Milan the Sulfurmancer to defeat the seven monsters between them and returning the sun.
It is also a passion project of mine that I've been working on on-and-off for a year as of today exactly. :toot:
So, I decided it's about time I actually get a proper demo/playtest together!
-----
Anyone who plays and gives feedback will be added onto the list of playtesters, and may have further input on the development process of the game.
Two Ways to Download
The way that's easier in the long run
Step 1: Download the VX Ace RTPs (Approx 200 MB. This step is unnecessary if you already have/use RPG Maker VX Ace.)
Step 2: Download the compressed simple-file (v0.2.1a, approx 1.5 MB)
Step 3: Uncompress the file, and run Game.exe
The way that's easier right the fuck now
Step 1: Download the full Game File. (v0.2.1a, approx 188 MBs)
Step 2: Uncompress the file, and run Game.exe.
(Full disclosure, I am mostly working on this project to teach myself good development habits before I jump into a "real" language.)
Known Issues
-Screenshots no longer match game menus.

A new game!
Dragon, Griffon, Troll is a short, two-player abstract strategy/deduction game that I came up with as an attempt to improve upon the Battleship formula. It's not quite ready for a full release (and thus, a full post) yet, but I'm putting up the rough draft to open it up for playtesting for whoever would like to give it a spin.
Expect the full version to look much nicer, and a few more play examples.
Also be on the lookout for Rainmakers, a mechanically identical game with a World War 2 theme.

The Labyrinth of S'xsyde
Long ago, the archmage S'xsyde locked herself and all her vast riches away in a vast labyrinth. Many have attempted to conquer it, but none have returned. Now, it is your turn. Will you succeed, and win eternal glory, or end up like so many other before you?

The Labyrinth of S'xsyde is a single-player pen and paper game, styled after games in the dungeon crawling and roguelike genres. The player must avoid traps, collect treasure, and defeat monsters, in order to conquer the eponymous labyrinth, and then escape before it collapses around them.
Features
- Random dungeons. No two games are alike, and as you play, you must decide whether you will take the shortest path to the boss, or explore more of the dungeon to search for treasure.
- Seven unique character classes. Classes have different strengths and weaknesses, and each has its own unique ability to aid you in your adventures.
- Simple rules. The game consists entirely of four pages, two of rules, and two of tables for determining what you encounter in each room.
- Material-light. All it takes to play Labyrinth is a couple pieces of paper (graph paper recommended, though not required), a pencil, and a pair of six-sided dice.
- Short playtime. A full start-to-finish game can easily be played in 60 minutes.
- Dynamic difficulty. Six difficulty levels are available, which modify the results on the tables, as well as what bosses you will encounter.

Welcome!
Greenhorn Game Design is the name I've decided to start gathering all my little game projects under. This blog will be both a source for getting new games and updates, and where I talk about and look for feedback on ideas I have.
